The streets of New York City’s Murray Hill neighborhood are lined with cookie-cutter bars, filled with huge plasma TVs and an over abundance of tight graphic t-shirts… For this reason, I never drink in my own neighborhood – until now!

Inspired by the owner’s love of David Lee Roth and Van Halen, the Diamond’s interior literally sparkles, while the cassette tapes on the bathroom wall hint at the bar’s rock origins. This bar has great atmosphere. Even when the Diamond is crowded, it never really feels overwhelming. The music is a nice mix of new alternative with a healthy dose of David Lee Roth era Van Halen.
